Chairman Kingsley Atta Calls for Unity and Active Communication at Bantama NPP Polling Station Communication Officers Orientation

The Bantama Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Chairman Kingsley Atta, has called on Polling Station Communication Officers to remain active, disciplined and committed to strengthening the party’s communication structures at the grassroots.

He made the call at the Bantama NPP Polling Station Communication Officers Orientation Programme, which brought together Polling Station Communication Officers, Constituency Executives and other party stakeholders, including the Member of Parliament for Bantama, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye.

Chairman Kingsley Atta expressed his appreciation to all participants for making time to attend what he described as an important programme aimed at equipping the party’s grassroots communicators with the knowledge and direction needed to effectively communicate the party’s activities and policies.

He urged the Communication Officers to take their responsibilities seriously and remain visible and active within their respective polling stations. According to him, effective communication at the grassroots is essential to ensuring that party members and the wider electorate are properly informed about the party’s programmes, policies and activities.

Chairman Kingsley Atta further encouraged members to channel their energies towards the political opponent rather than turning their communication efforts against fellow constituency executives.

He stressed that party members must see the NDC as the political opponent and avoid making constituency executives the target of internal attacks, personal accusations and divisive communication.

“Let us make the NDC our common political opponent and not our own constituency executives. We may have differences in opinion, but those differences should not destroy the unity and strength of the party.”

The Chairman also assured the various wings and organs of the party in Bantama of his continued support and cooperation. He indicated that his administration remains committed to working with the Youth Wing, Women's Wing, Nasara Wing and other party structures to support their programmes and initiatives for the benefit of the constituency.

He called for greater collaboration among all party stakeholders, emphasizing that the strength of the NPP in Bantama depends on the ability of its members and structures to work together.

Chairman Kingsley Atta also appealed to party members to rally solidly behind the elected Constituency Executives and support them in the discharge of their mandate.

He cautioned against targeted advisory strategies that could be used as a means of defaming, undermining or discrediting elected party executives. While acknowledging the importance of constructive advice and criticism within the party, he said such interventions should be intended to strengthen the party rather than create unnecessary divisions.

He therefore urged all members to promote constructive engagement, respect the party's structures and use the appropriate channels to raise concerns.

The Chairman reiterated his commitment to an inclusive administration in which every member has a role to play in rebuilding trust, strengthening the grassroots and preparing the constituency for future electoral contests.

The orientation programme formed part of efforts to strengthen communication at the polling-station level and ensure that the party's communication officers are better prepared to engage members and the electorate effectively.

Chairman Kingsley Atta concluded by urging all Communication Officers to return to their respective polling stations with renewed commitment, unity and a clear understanding of their responsibility to help build a stronger and more coordinated NPP in Bantama.
