The newly elected Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, has hit the ground running with a familiarisation visit to traders at the Race Course Market.

The visit formed part of his commitment to reconnect the party with the grassroots and gain first-hand information about the market economy, the concerns of traders, and the challenges confronting our market women.

Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah used the occasion to assure the traders that the new regional leadership is determined to restore confidence, rebuild relationships and bring back the love and trust between the NPP and the people.

He also appealed to women, particularly market women, to take an active and meaningful part in the party's electoral processes. He noted that women constitute a significant percentage of Ghana's electorate and therefore remain critical to the party's electoral fortunes.

Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah assured the traders that the new regional leadership would not be an armchair leadership. Rather, the leadership will be on the ground, working with the grassroots, listening to the people and operating in unity to bring back the love and position the NPP strongly for victory in 2028.
