The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially announced the commencement of its 2026 Polling Station Elections, scheduled to begin on Monday, 20th April 2026, with a strong call for unity, discipline, and active participation from all members.
In a remarkable show of commitment to grassroots empowerment, Francis Asenso-Boakye has fully covered the cost of nomination forms for all polling station executives. This generous intervention is expected to ease the financial burden on aspirants and encourage wider participation in the electoral process.
Party leadership emphasized that the polling station remains the bedrock of the NPP’s strength, serving as the foundation upon which electoral victories are built. Opening and Closing of Nominations: 20th – 24th April, 2026
Vetting of Aspirants: 25th – 30th April, 2026
Hearing of Appeals: 1st – 4th May, 2026
Notice of Polls: 6th – 9th May, 2026
Elections of Polling Station Executives: 10th – 16th May, 2026
The party further called on members to conduct themselves with respect and unity throughout the process, stressing the importance of preserving the NPP’s reputation as a model of internal democracy in Ghana.
