ðŸš¨ PUBLIC NOTICE: FAKE TIKTOK ACCOUNT IMPERSONATING HON. ASENSO-BOAKYE 🚨

In a bold and brazen act, online fraudsters have created a fake TikTok account impersonating Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, Member of Parliament for Bantama, using stolen photos and videos to lure unsuspecting Ghanaians into a phony police recruitment scam.

The deceptive account, which has been circulating widely, falsely claims to offer recruitment opportunities in exchange for favours — a common tactic used by online scammers to exploit desperate job seekers.

Visibly concerned about the development, Hon. Asenso-Boakye has issued a strong public disclaimer, firmly distancing himself from the fake account.

> “I wish to state clearly that I have no association whatsoever with this fake account or its activities. I do not conduct recruitment, nor do I solicit money or favours through TikTok or any other social media platform,” the MP declared.

The revelation has sparked outrage among constituents and raised fresh concerns over the rising cases of digital impersonation and social media fraud in Ghana.

Cybercriminals are increasingly targeting public figures, hijacking their identities to add credibility to their scams — and this latest case serves as yet another wake-up call for online vigilance.

Hon. Asenso-Boakye is urging the public to report and block the fake account immediately to help prevent others from falling victim.

> “The public is strongly advised to disregard and report this fake account to avoid being defrauded,” he added firmly.

With TikTok’s growing influence among youth and job seekers, this incident is a stark reminder of how quickly misinformation and fraud can spread on unverified platforms.
