 Yesterday, I joined the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, President John Dramani Mahama, Former Presidents Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and John Agyekum Kufuor, the Acting Chief Justice, Justice Baffoe-Bonnie, several paramount chiefs, and thousands of mourners to bid a solemn farewell to the late Asante Mamponghene, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II.

Daasebre was a towering figure in Asanteman; a statesman whose wisdom, leadership, and service inspired many. His passing marks the end of an era, but his legacy will continue to guide generations to come.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.
